A sweet celebration.

When your day doesn't go to plan.

I met Josh and Tarryn the week leading up to their wedding. We did a gorgeous engagement shoot at Monteseel and it was a great way to get to know them.

I knew from the moment I met them that their day was going to be calm and warm. They flew out from England to get married on home soil with their families. The morning of the wedding felt like a long overdue catch up. There was lots of chatting and laughter adding to the exciting atmosphere.

The Lister’s got married at Sweet home wedding venue, Eston. It was a lovely autumn wedding, although it felt more like summer. They guys started their day fishing while the girls had a light brekkie.

When I arrived the venue was set and ready. The red and pink hues of the flowers complimented the season so well. Sweethome is known for the remarkable floral arrangement that hang from the ceiling and they did not disappoint.

The table numbers were years relevant to their journey and it was such a special touch. Something Tarryn is very good at. Even their cat made an appearance on their serviettes.

As the ceremony was about to start, Josh received a call informing him that their officiant had been in a minor car accident and that he would be delayed by an hour.

I headed off to Tarryn expecting her to be in a panic but I found her calm and light hearted. We decided to do a first look, family and bridal party photos.

After the ceremony Mr & Mrs Lister went off for the most magical golden hour shoot I have ever done and then got some time to hang out with their guests before their reception started.

Listening to the speeches I could tell that Josh and Tarryn are so loved. They are loving and caring people. This was reflected throughout their whole day. They had the most creative wedding favours - lotto tickets! It added such a fun element to the evening and pranking a best mate that he had won, made it hilarious!

They were the most amazing couple to work with and I am so pleased with their gallery!
