Epitome of class

If ever there was the most radiant and classy bride, Chloe was it. She and Mike have been dating since school and finally tied the knot before Mike returns to New Zealand in March.

I had such a fantastic time getting to know them on their day. It was evident in the speeches that these two are so dearly loved. I loved how minimally Chloe styled herself for her wedding. She looked absolutely stunning and Mike couldn't hold back his tears when he saw her the first time.

What made the biggest impact on me while photographing their wedding was just how much emphasis was laid on the ceremony. Their commitment before our Lord was so sincere. They definitely prepared for a marriage and not just a wedding.

With some imminent rain looming in the distance we jumped at the chance to do the creative shoot. Mike and Chloe were so easy to work with. Doing their engagement shoot before definitely helped them feel at ease with me. We worked quickly but got the most divine moments for them to cherish.

While I sit here reminiscing about their wedding all the tears come to mind. I think this is what I enjoy most about weddings. It's an opportunity for even the toughest man to experience raw emotion. The way Chloe's dad cried during his speech said so much about how much he adores her. I must say their father daughter dance was so moving, there really wasn't a dry eye in the room.

Of course after the rain cleared, the sun made a last little peep through the clouds and we had to take the chance to snap some last beautiful portraits. They practiced their first dance before their big performance and this made for some really sweet moments.

I must admit that Mandy and her team at at Gracelands did an amazing job at running this event. She was so helpful and took so much stress and off Chloe's shoulders. The reception looked fantastic and the cake was simply delicious. I totally recommend her. The tables were gorgeous with natural greens and candles. It suited Chloe's vision perfectly.

The rest of this wedding was so vibey. Once the dance floor was open, I saw some groovy moves and a couple good laughs. I so enjoyed being able to capture this wedding and totally felt like a guest by the time I left. I wish Mike and Chloe the best future and many laughs!
